Raden Putra was the king of the Kingdom Jenggala. He was accompanied by a consort of a kind and beautiful concubine. In earlier times in Daha kingdom there lived a Brahamana who named Sidi Mantra very famous of miracle. Sanghyang Widya or Batara Guru rewarded property and a beautiful wife. After many years of marriage, they had a son who they named Manik Angkeran.
Although Manik Angkeran a handsome and intelligent young man but he had a poor trait, which is like gambling. He often risked losing so he had his parents' property, even in debt to someone else. Because it can not pay debts, Manik Angkeran’s father asked for help to do something. Sidi Mantra fasted and prayed to the gods for help. Suddenly he heard a voice, "Hi, Sidi Mantra, in the crater of Mount Agung there are guarded treasure of a dragon named Dragon Besukih. Go there and ask that he wanted to give a little treasure."
Sidi Mantra go to Mount Agung to overcome all obstacles. Arriving at the edge of the crater of Mount Agung, he sat cross-legged. he rang the bell while reciting mantras and call on the name Dragon Besukih. Not long after the Dragon came out. After hearing intentions Sidi Mantra, Dragon Besukih squirm and scales out of gold and diamonds. After saying thank you, Sidi Mantra excused himself. All property that gets given to Manik Angkeran the hope he will not gamble anymore. Of course not long after, the treasure was gone for a bet. Manik Angkeran once again enlist the help of his father. Sidi Mantra of course refused to help his son.
Manik Angkeran heard from a friend that the property was obtained from Mount Agung. Manik Angkeran know to get there he had to cast a spell, but he never learned about prayer and the mantra. So, he just took the bell that was stolen from his father when his father sleep.
After arriving at the crater of Mount Agung, Manik Angkeran bell rang. He is not playing scared when he saw the Dragon Besukih. After hearing intentions Manik Dragon Angkeran, he said, "I will give you treasures that you ask, but you have to promise to change your behavior. Do not gamble anymore. Remember the law of karma. "
Manik Angkeran fascinated by gold, diamonds, and jewels in front of him. Suddenly there was malice in his heart that arise. In West Java, Bandung regency precisely in recreation there is a very beautiful place that is Mount Tangkuban Perahu. Tangkuban Perahu means boat upside down. Named because its shape it resembles an upside-down boat. It is said that according to folklore parahyangan mountain was indeed an upside-down boat. Here is his story...
Thousands of years ago, the land Parahyangan led by a king and a queen who just had a daughter. Daughter was named Dayang Sumbi. She is very pretty and intelligent, unfortunately she is very spoiled. On a day when she was weaving on the porch of the palace, Dayang Sumbi feel weak and dizzy. She dropped to the floor of the yarn spun many times. When spun fall for the umpteenth time Dayang Sumbi became angry and swore, she would marry anyone who would get spun it. Right after the words were spoken oath, comes a magical dog named Tumang and submit it to the hand spun Dayang Sumbi. So inevitably, in accordance with her oath, Dayang Sumbi should marry the dog.
Dayang  Sumbi and Tumang live happily until they were blessed with a child who is a son of man but have magic powers like his father. The child was named Sangkuriang. In its infancy, is always accompanied Sangkuring played by a dog named Tumang who he knew only as a faithful dog, not as a father. Sangkuriang grown into a handsome young man and gallant.
One day Dayang Sumbi sent his son to hunt deer with dogs for the purposes of any party. After a long search with no results, Sangkuriang feel hopeless, but he did not want to disappoint his mother. So he is forced to take a crossbow and pointed it at Tumang. Arriving home he handed Tumang meat on her. Dayang Sumbi who thought it was venison meat, feeling elated over his success.
Soon after the party Dayang Sumbi remembered Tumang and asked her son where Tumang located. At first Sangkuriang feel scared, he finally told with her what had happened to his mother. Dayang Sumbi became very angry, in a rage he hit Sangkuriang unconscious right in the forehead. For the offense Dayang Sumbi expelled from the kingdom by his father. Fortunately Sangkuriang regained consciousness but punches his mother left a very big scar in forehead. After that, Sangkuriang went wandering to know the state of the outside world.
Several years later, Sangkuriang met a very beautiful woman. He immediately fell in love with the woman. The woman is his own mother, but they did not recognize each other. Sangkuriang proposed, Dayang Sumbi was received with pleasure. The day before the wedding day, when her fiance was stroking hair, Dayang Sumbi see the wide scar on the forehead Sangkuriang, she finally realizes that she almost married his own son. Knowing that Dayang Sumbi try to thwart the marriage. After thinking hard she finally decides to propose marriage that requirement can not be granted by Sangkuriang. The condition is that: Sangkuriang must make a dam that could cover the entire mountain, and make a boat to the dam down. All that must be completed before dawn.
Sangkuriang start working. His love is so great on Sangkuriang gave a strange power. Do not forget he also uses the power he got from his father to summon the jinn and help. With mud and water from the soil they are to stem the rivers and springs. Sometime before dawn, Sangkuriang cut down a large tree to make a boat. When Dayang Sumbi see that Sangkuriang almost completed its work, she prayed to the Gods to thwart his job and speed up the arrival of the morning.

Rooster crows, the sun rises earlier than usual and Sangkuriang realized that he had been cheated. With very angry he cursed Dayang Sumbi and kicking a homemade boat nearly so to the middle of the forest. It was there in the boat upside down, and formed Mount Tangkuban Perahu (boat upside down). Not far from that place are leftover tree stumps from cutting Sangkuriang, now we know him as the Mount Tunggul. Dams are made Sangkuriang cause the entire hill filled with water and formed a lake where Sangkuriang and Dayang Sumbi drown themselves and has not been heard until now.

In ancient times in a village in North Sumatra, there lived a farmer named Toba alone in a flat and fertile valley. The farmer was working on the farm for the purpose of his life.
Besides working on his farm, that he sometimes went fishing to the river which is not far from his home. Each time he was fishing, simply because the fish in the river gets that clear it is a lot of fish. Inducement he was cook the fish to eat.
One afternoon, after returning from the field the man went straight to the river for fishing. But long enough he did not fishing any fish gets. Events like that, never experienced before. Because it's usually easy to fish in the river he was fishing alone. For too long no one takes the bait rod, he was gets upset and decided to quit fishing. But when he was was about to pull his fishing, fishing rod suddenly it struck the fish pulled the fishing rod away ketengah river. His heart had been upset that turned into joy, Because he was knows that the fish grabbed the pole was a big fish.
After a while he was let the rod is pulled to and fro, then fishing it disentakkannya, and saw a large fish hanging and floundered at the end of his fishing rope. The fish quickly pulled to the ground so as not to loose. Smiling happily his eyes his line out of the mouth of the fish. By the time he was was removing the hook, the fish looked at him meaningfully. Then, after the fish was placed into one where he was went into the river to bathe. Feeling excited because he was never got the big fish. He smiled as he imagined how good the fish meat later when it's baked. When leaving the river to return to his house it was already dusk.
Arriving home, he immediately took the big fish results inducement to the kitchen. When he was was about to light a fire for grilling fish, firewood turns in his kitchen is up. He went out to fetch firewood from under his bottom. Then, he took a few pieces of firewood he was climbed back to the top of the house and went straight to the kitchen.
By the time he arrived in the kitchen, he was surprised at all because the big fish that is not there anymore. But in places it had placed the fish seem spread some gold coins. Surprise and wonder to experience strange circumstances, he was left the kitchen and went back to the room.
When the man opened the door of the room, his blood suddenly drained because it stood in the room of a woman with long hair loose. The woman was combing her hair as she stood facing the mirror hanging on the wall. A moment later she suddenly turned around and looked at in confusion upright room entrances. The man became very fascinated because the woman who stood before him face extraordinary beautiful. He had never seen such a beautiful woman even before he was had wandered away to various countries.

A year later, they were blessed with a son whom they named Samosir. His mother was a very spoiled child resulting in the child less good temper and idler.
Once big enough, the child told her mother drove rice every day for his father who worked in the fields. However, he was often refused to do the job so his mother had to deliver rice to the fields.
One day, the boy asked his mother again to deliver rice to his father's farm. At first he refused. However, because of continued forced his mother, pissed off he drove with the rice. On the way, most of the rice and side dishes he ate. Arriving in the fields, the rest of the rice is just a little he gave to his father. When received, the father was feeling very hungry because once delivered late rice. Therefore, the father became very angry when he saw the rice given to him are the remains. Growing anger when his son confessed that he is consuming most of the rice. So the father lost patience and he's at his son, saying: "Son brash. Not ungrateful. Are you really the offspring of women who came from fish! "
While crying, the boy ran home to his mother in the house. He complained to his mother that he's beaten his father. All of the words spoken slur his father told him in anyway. Heard his son's story, the mother was so sad, especially since her husband has violated his oath to slur words he spoke to his son. The mother told her to immediately go up the hill located not so far from their home and climb the tallest tree located on the hilltop. Without asking again, the child's mother immediately take command. He ran toward the hill and climb it.
            When looked after by his mother almost to the top of the climb the trees on the hill, she ran towards the river which is not so far away from their homes. When she arrived on the banks of the river thunder, lightning, and the megelegar. A moment later she jumped into the river and all of a sudden turned into a big fish. At the same time, the river was flooding down anyway and heavy rain. Some time later, the river was already overflowing everywhere and drowned the valley where the river goes. Mr. Toba could not save himself, he was drowned by the inundation of water. Over time, the increasingly broad pool of water and turned into a huge lake that later called the Toba Lake. Being a small island in the middle called Samosir Island.

THE HISTORY OF SALATIGA CITY

Salatiga is small city in Central Java, Indonesia and located between Semarang  and Surakarta city.  It situated at the foot of Merbabu and Telomoyo Mount, and has a relatively cool climate due to its elevated position. This city has a history of why it is called Salatiga.  And this is the story …

Once upon a time, there was a king his name is Adipati Pandanarang II, who governed Semarang as regent. His people loved him very much because he was honest and wise but he loves to his exuberant wealth. The character of Adipati was heard by Sunan Kalijaga, he is a wise wali. Sunan wants to remains Pandanarang II through passing off as seller of grass and sell it to the king with very low price. Adipati just gives him 5 sen for his grass. Everyday, the king ask to the seller to put the grass into the stable but the seller inserts his money from the king between the grass. The money was found by the servant of the king and he told to his employer.

And what has done by the seller of grass makes the king angry, he felt that the seller mock him
and ask to the seller why he doesn’t received the money. The seller said that he doesn’t need the wealth because it never lasting. And he also said that there was gold and diamond in the palace yard. The seller prove it to the king and the result there was gold and diamond inside it. Finally, the king knows that the seller is Sunan Kalijaga. He asks apologize to Sunan and Adipati ask to become his follower. Sunan Kalijaga agree of his idea but he must leaves his wealth.  
Adipati’s wife joined with her husband. But, she doesn’t willing to leaves her wealth and give it to the poor people. She asks to her husband to goes earlier. After that, this women saves her gold and diamond into her bamboo stick.   

The king and Sunan Kalijaga walk together but in their way they meet with three robbers.
“If you want the wealth, just wait the old women. She brings her gold and diamond in her bamboo stick,” Said Sunan Kalijaga.
Then, the queen come with her stick. Three robbers ask the women’s stick and carry away from her. The queen just cry. When she met with her husband and Sunan, she told the story to them about what happened to her. 
Sunan said “ You doesn’t hear what your husband said. if you want to follow me just leave your wealth”.
To remain that tragedy, Sunan Kalijaga named the place “Salah Tiga” which literally meant  three mistakes. Salah is mistake and tiga is three.

Sunan Kalijaga said that there were three mistakes in that place, the  first is king’s mistake because he is very loves of his wealth, second is the queen’s mistake, and the last is the robbers. Day by day Salah Tiga become Salatiga.  Nowadays, this city become the busy city.
