SYNOPOSIS OF EDENSOR NOVEL

Novel tells about the adventure of Ikal and Arai in Europe. After succeeding to
get scholarship in France, they study at universite de Paris, Sorbone. There,
Ikal and Arai have so many experiences that can be called the culture shock.
There are so many customs of Europe that’s contradictive with the customs of
their birth land, Belitong, Indonesia. They almost die because of the deathly
cold in there. They have so many experiences with many kinds of teachers and
friends. Ikal (Andrea Hirata) is ever loved by the most beautiful girl in
there. He is very surprised because of the awkwardness of the girl because
there are so many boys who try to be her boyfriend.
In this novel,
Andrea Hirata tells also about the adventure of them to go along the edge of
Europe with many kinds of astonishing, gripping, made us roar with laughter, and also made us in tears experiences. He with Arai
have a trip to explore Europe and Africa. Become backpacker is very
challenging.
Edensor
explains that our life is like pieces that bounded each other. And future is
our dreams that become true. There are so many challenges to be faced to make
us mature and know the meaning of this life.
SYNOPSIS OF MARYAMAH
KARPOV NOVEL
Andrea Hirata
is very proper to be given many thumbs because of his professionally in writing
novels (Tetralogy Rainbow Troops). One of the novels is Maryamah Karpov. My
first impression after reading is that Andrea Hirata is very eligible to be one
of the best authors. In Maryamah Kapov, he told Ikal (himself) when he
completed his thesis in Sorbonne University until his life after a year
graduate from his study. His typical style in delivering the story makes the
reader curious about the plot of the story. This novel contains hilarious,
emotion, dramatic and tragic stories of life of Ikal and those that exist in
the environment around him.
In this last
session of Rainbow Troops Tetralogy, he tells about the craziness exist in his
environment. In this story he also tells about the love struggle done by Ikal.
Love is crazy. May be this sentence can represent the story in this novel. He
struggled hard to find Aling, his first love after more than ten years
separated each other. Well, after finishing his master degree in Sorbonne
University of France, Ikal (Andrea Hirata) come back to his birth land,
Belitong. A Longing. It is a reason of his return. He misses his parents, Arai
(his cousin), Belitong society, Belitong nature, and more than them, he misses
his girl of the dream, Aling.
In the
beginning of the story he tells the condition of his land. It is still same
with the condition when he leave it. Belitong at that time was visited by a
dentist from Jakarta. Because of her professionally, she is available to devote
herself to practice in Belitong. However, because of the conservatism of the
society, they prefer to go to the shaman (dukun) when they got sickness.
Then, it’s
told In the story that there were two corpses found in the river. That tragedy
makes the society, especially Ikal, because they have butterfly tattoo like
what Aling have. Therefore, he desires to look for her in Betuan Island (the
island full of bandits. He was helped by his friends of rainboe troops. They
creat a ship named “Mimpi-mimpi Lintang”. After many places visted, finally he
can find Aling, his first love.
Maryamah Kapov gives us
motivation to us to be dare to dream and reach the dream. Because where there
is a will, there is a way.

We should follow the spirit of
Alif. Sometimes, we always give up to face small problem that we have.
Actually, so many people that have the problem harder than us, but they have
strong effort to solve their problem. I love to read this story, because so
many wisdom inside it. This novel is gives us the magic word that always remain
us to do not afraid with all the problem in this word. Because our aim is in
our hand. Just believe in ourself .

Raden Putra was the king of the Kingdom

outside world.
Several years later, Sangkuriang met a very
beautiful woman. He immediately fell in love with the woman. The woman is his
own mother, but they did not recognize each other. Sangkuriang proposed, Dayang
Sumbi was received with pleasure. The day before the wedding day, when her
fiance was stroking hair, Dayang Sumbi see the wide scar on the forehead
Sangkuriang, she finally realizes that she almost married his own son. Knowing
that Dayang Sumbi try to thwart the marriage. After thinking hard she finally
