The Synopsis of Ranah 3 Warna

Ranah 3 Warna is the second book of Negeri 5 Menara  trilogy by Ahmad Fuadi. In this novel told that Alif was graduated from Pondok Madani at Ponorogo, East Java. With his magic words Man Jadda Wajada he joined the test in University. Finally, he passed the test and sits in International Relationship of Padjajaran University, although the truly he wants to continue his study in Technology Institute of Bandung. Before he going to Bandung his father gives him a pare of black shoes. This shoes are step on three land there are Maninjau, Bandung, and Canada. That’s why this novel named Ranah 3 Warna. Ranah is Land and Warna Is color.  

In Alif’s life Man Jadda Wajada is not enough. Then, he remember the next magic words that he has, the words is Man Shobaro Dhofiro (Who be patient he will succeed). With these two wisewords he ready to face the hindrance. And one day, Alif arrived in the land of Canada because his struggle, and never say never in his life.     

We should follow the spirit of Alif. Sometimes, we always give up to face small problem that we have. Actually, so many people that have the problem harder than us, but they have strong effort to solve their problem. I love to read this story, because so many wisdom inside it. This novel is gives us the magic word that always remain us to do not afraid with all the problem in this word. Because our aim is in our hand. Just believe in ourself .

Synopsis of Negeri 5 Menara Novel

This novel is contemporary religious novel with education theme. Negeri 5 Menara novel is the first of a trilogy series by Ahmad Fuadi. In general, the author tells the story of five young men who was studied at islamic boarding school Pondok Madani or PM. The fifth main character are Alif Fikri from Padang, Atang  from Bandung, Raja dari Medan, Dulmajid from Sumenep, Said from Mojokerto , and the last Baso from Gowa in South Sulawesi. These five students life together in  Pondok Madani and make some group named shohibul menara. Shohibul is from Arabic word means the owner, and menara is tower. Then, the mean of their group is the owner of tower. 

In the beginning, the figure Alif wants to be a like BJ Habibie. He wished to study at  high school Bukittinggi to achieve his goals. Unfortunately, his mother does not allow it. Alif he wanted to be a preacher or religious leader so he thinks send her to boarding school. She wants that Alif become an ustadz or religious leaders. At first, Alif so shocked after heard what his mother wants, because he will  lifes in the boarding school and also obeys the regulations. But after that he obeys what his mother wants to study in Pondok Madani. But as time goes by, he joined it with his friends in Pondok Madani. All of them believe in a magic words: Man Jadda Wajada  the means who do his job earnestly he will succed.

According to some observers, the author of the novel Negeri 5 Menara successfully to describe a modern atmosphere in the boarding schools that have been considered old-fashioned, stiff and uninteresting. The view about Pondok (Islamic Boarding School) that only teach religious subject . In this novel he shows the modern side Islamic boarding school by telling the student study about art, language and also speak English and Arabic in their daily activities that can not be tolerated. The authors also assessed intelligent he gives the humor side that made  this heavy novel humor nice for read.

This novel changes the paradigm of Islamic boarding school  world and motivation novel as Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata. Negeri 5 Menara as  Best Seller and was appointed to films in 2012. This novel is recommended for anyone who was in the process of realizing their dreams.

LIFE STORY OF AHMAD FUADI

Man Jadda Wajada is the great words of Ahmad Fuadi’s life. The meaning of this words is  where there’s a will, there’s a way. His name rose to popularity through his best seller novel “ Negeri 5 Menara” . This novel is the first book of a trilogy of his novel and was appointed to films in 2012. He also got Indonesia Readers Award . Ahmad Fuadi was born in a small village in the edge of Lake Maninjau, West Sumatra on December 30 1972. His mother was an elementary school teacher, and his father madrasah teachers.

He was graduated from Islamic Boarding School of Gontor Ponorogo, East Java. And continue his study in International Relationship at Padjadjaran University, Bandung.He ever joined Youth Exchange Program  in Quebec, Canada. In the end of his study in Bandung he also got the opportunity from SIF Fellowship  to study a semester in National University of Singapore. During his lecture he often wrote the article and sent it to several media mass. 
After graduation he accepted to be journalist of Tempo newspaper. A year later,  he went to Washinton DC with his wife for their  master degree. While lecture they became the correspondent of Tempo and  Voice of America  journalist. In 2004 he received a scholarship to study at Royal Holloway, University of London to the field of documentary film. He also ever became as director of communications in a conservation NGO: The Nature Conservancy.

Negeri 5 Menara published in 2009, is the first novel he wrote. The reason why he wrote novels, because they want to provide benefits to others, as the words is commonly taught in Islamic boarding school “Man Jadda Wajada”. His novel is very inspiring and gives the  positive influence to the reader, the story was adapted from his experience in boarding school life. After Negeri 5 Menara, Fuadi published a second novel the titled Ranah 3 Warna (2011), followed by Rantau 1 Muara which the third book of his trilogy.
